The Challenge
The Northwest Colorado Council of Governments needed a website that could handle the diverse needs of the many branches of their organization. The website needed to organize their data in an intuitive manner so users could easily navigate to the information they needed. Secondly, it needed a consistent, well-branded structure that would hold up through years of edits and updates.
It also needed to be easy to use for all members of their staff to update their individual program’s content on a regular basis.
The Solution

We built a custom theme so it would be lightweight, flexible and quick to download. Considerable attention and care was put into content architecture and the interior design elements to create a robust, well-structured website that is deceptively powerful. We added built-from-scratch elements such a newsletter feeds, staff directory and editable tables to create a consistent brand on the front end. Lastly, we build robust landing pages for each branch of the organization, with custom designed icons.
Each page was thoughtfully designed to lead users on a journey with conversion as the destination. We incorporated subtle yet innovative, built-from-scratch animations to add to the user’s experience.
Lastly, we rounded out the marketing efforts with search engine optimization to ensure that users could find the website with ease.
